A Musical Journey of Memory and Emotion

This is a concert created by three artists who have been part of the Greek music scene for many years.

A musical performance featuring beloved songs from past to present, uniquely reimagined. Music, lyrics and poetry from some of the greatest creators are reinterpreted through a sound of our own, one that promises to take audiences on a beautiful journey through memories, emotions and love.

Christina Argyri

Christina Argyri was born in Limassol and raised in Nicosia. Coming from a musical family, she is the daughter of renowned musician, pianist and composer Stelios Argyri. From an early age, she showed a deep love for music, beginning piano lessons at the age of five. She studied at Berklee College of Music, graduating in 1992 with a Diploma in Performance Magna Cum Laude.

She returned to Cyprus in 1993, where she began her professional career as a performer before moving to Athens in 1996, where her career took shape. In Athens, she became the top session vocalist, recording backing vocals for nearly the entire Greek discography between 1996 and 2006, across all genres. From 2003 to 2014 she collaborated with acclaimed artists such as Dimitra Galani, Alkistis Protopsalti, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Giorgos Theofanous, Michalis Hatzigiannis, Christos Dantis, Stavento and Sakis Rouvas, both as a singer and as a vocal arranger.

She has participated in numerous performances, musical theatres and concerts in Greece and abroad, taking on roles as singer, composer, music director and vocal coach.

In 1997 she began collaborating with Walt Disney Greece, providing voices for animated film dubs. Many more films followed, and she later worked with other studios such as DreamWorks and Mattel. From 1997 to 1999 she also served as Music Producer for several Disney films, receiving special commendation from Disney headquarters.

Although jazz is not the only genre she performs, it is the one she loves most, having specialised in it during her studies. In Greece, she performed in many jazz venues and was the lead vocalist of the funk group Electric Breeze, performing throughout Athens.

In 2014 she returned to Cyprus, continuing her career as a performer, composer and one of the island’s most recognised vocal coaches. Today she teaches, composes for theatre and musicals, and performs in concerts, jazz festivals and music venues across Cyprus while maintaining collaborations in Greece.

Giorgos Zachariou

Born in Athens in 1962, Giorgos Zachariou grew up during the “golden” era of the great Greek composers. He studied piano and theory at the Hellenic Conservatory and began his professional music career in 1980.

Since then, first as a session musician and later as arranger, conductor, musical director, producer, and at times composer, he has remained active in the Greek music industry, signing work across discography, theatre, television, cinema, concerts and musical productions. He has collaborated, and continues to collaborate, with many leading Greek singers, songwriters and composers.

Vaggelis Tountas

Vaggelis Tountas is an award-winning composer and musician. He was born in Athens and grew up on the island of Kea. He studied classical guitar and advanced theory at the Hellenic Conservatory. As a violin soloist, he has been engaged with Greek traditional music since childhood, as well as world and ethnic genres.

He has taken part in numerous recordings and performances in Greece and abroad. Since 2002, he has been active in music production, arrangement and music technology. He has composed orchestral music for theatre, television series, commercials, and many songs for various artists. He is also involved in producing, arranging and composing for both short and feature-length films.
