Τhe European Central Bank has approved the appointment of Dr. Andreas Kritiotis as an independent non-executive director on the board of the Bank of Cyprus, effective August 28, 2025. The role also extends to the board of BOC Holdings.
Kritiotis previously chaired Ancoria Bank, sat on the board of Alpha Bank Cyprus, and served as CEO of Universal Life Insurance. His most recent post was non-executive chairman of Payabl CY Ltd.
He holds a PhD and MSc in Chemical Engineering from MIT and a BSc from Imperial College London.
