The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE), as part of its initiatives to promote the Cypriot stock market and the international profile of its listed companies, is organizing a Road Show in Athens. The stock exchange has invited all companies on the regulated market to participate in the event, according to the Deputy General Manager, Nikos Trypatsas.

Seven Companies of the Cyprus Stock Exchange to Meet Greek Investors

Seven companies listed on the regulated market of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) will have the opportunity to meet Greek analysts, brokers and investors in person as part of the Road Show organised by the CSE in Athens. During the same meeting, developments in the Cypriot financial market will also be discussed.

The Deputy General Manager of the CSE, Nikos Trypatsas, told Politis that the CSE invited all companies on the regulated market (Main and Parallel Market) to participate in the event, noting that a similar initiative had been held in the past, with seven companies responding positively.

The aim of the event is to showcase the companies and attract investments from Greek investors, he emphasised.

The Road Show will take place on Wednesday, 3 December, from 09:30 to 14:30 at the headquarters of the Athens Stock Exchange.

The event will feature opening speeches by the CSE Chairman, Marinos Christodoulides, and the Chairman of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, George Theocharides. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Greece, Stavros Avgoustidis, will also deliver a greeting.

Mr Trypatsas will present the latest market developments, new projects, infrastructure improvements and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the CSE.

Representing the seven companies, presentations on their plans and activities will be given by:

  1. Annita Pavlou, Director of Investor Relations, ESG and Strategy, Bank of Cyprus
  2. Nikos Stefanos, Head of Strategy, Leptos Group, for Pandora Investments
  3. Vassos Aristodimou, Chief Executive Officer, NETinfo Plc
  4. Dino Lefkaritis, Executive Chief Executive Officer, Petrolina Holdings
  5. Konstantinos Servos, General Manager of Operations, Ellinas Finance Public Company Ltd
  6. Dino Kakkouras, Chief Executive Officer, Top Kinisis Travel Public Ltd
  7. Loukis Ioannou, Chief Financial Officer, Atlantic Insurance

During the Road Show, one-to-one business meetings have also been arranged for CSE-listed companies with institutional investors, analysts, fund managers and other financial entities from Greece.

Positive Trend for the CSE

The performance of the CSE in recent years has been upward, with increases in index returns, daily turnover and overall capitalisation, driven by the positive performance of banks and the broader economy. Significant interest is also being recorded in the new market.

The CSE General Index has gained 29 per cent since the beginning of the year, continuing the positive trend of previous years. Gains were 58 per cent in 2024 and 51 per cent in 2023.

Regarding daily turnover, Mr Trypatsas notes that it averages €750,000 per day.

The inclusion of Eurobank shares on the regulated market of the CSE is also expected to contribute positively.

Concerning the privatisation of the CSE, the Deputy General Manager notes that genuine investor interest is expected to emerge once the legislation is approved, allowing the sale process to proceed via an open offer announced by the Republic of Cyprus.

It is also worth noting that the CSE supports the operation of the Competitive Electricity Market in Cyprus, having undertaken the clearing of transactions.
