Direct flights between Larnaca and Brussels will begin on December 1, in view of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU.
An agreement was signed on Friday between AEGEAN Airlines S.A. and the Department of Civil Aviation for the operation of direct flights Larnaca-Brussels-Larnaca.
According to the press release, the agreement will be effective from December 1, 2025, until November 30, 2026. It provides for three return flights per week in December 2025, five return flights per week during Cyprus' EU Presidency in January-June 2026, three return flights per week in July 2026 and two return flights per week in the August–November 2026 period.
The maximum basic fully flexible economy fare is set at €400 per route and includes any additional charges added (service charges, fuel, one checked baggage of 20-23 kg, meal).
Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Alexis Vafeades said that the signing of the agreement ensures a reliable and stable connection between Cyprus and Brussels during Cyprus' EU Presidency and strengthens the country's access to European decision-making centres.
The Transport Ministry is working consistently to strengthen Cyprus' international air connectivity for the benefit of the economy and the daily lives of citizens, he added.
