Russian unmanned aerial vehicles struck port facilities and a vessel in the Ukrainian city of Odesa on Monday, according to regional governor Oleh Kiper in a statement posted on Telegram.

The strike marks the second drone attack on the city in less than 24 hours. Authorities have not reported any casualties so far.

Russian forces have intensified operations across southern Ukraine in recent weeks, with Odesa becoming a frequent target due to its strategic role in Ukraine’s maritime exports.

President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly threatened further strikes on Ukrainian ports, framing them as retaliation for Kyiv’s drone attacks on Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet” in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean.
