A weak low‑pressure system is affecting the area, while dust will at times remain suspended in the atmosphere.
Today, the weather will be mainly clear, although increased medium and high cloud will initially be observed. Winds will blow mainly south‑easterly to south‑westerly, weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, later strengthening locally to strong at 5 Beaufort. Temperatures will rise to 33 degrees inland, around 28 degrees on the south and east coasts, around 25 degrees on the west and north coasts and in the higher mountain areas.
Tonight, conditions will remain mostly clear. Gradually, low cloud and occasional thin fog are expected to form locally, mainly over the eastern half of the island. Winds will be mainly north‑westerly, weak and at times locally moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 14 degrees inland and along the coasts, and to 12 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the weather will be mostly clear with periodically increased medium and high cloud. On Friday, cloud cover will increase and isolated showers cannot be ruled out, while winds may become strong to very strong, particularly in coastal areas.
Temperatures will show a gradual drop through Friday, bringing values close to average climatological levels.
