Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they struck a US base in retaliation for an earlier attack, warning of stronger responses if hostilities continue.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Thursday it targeted a US airbase at 04:50 local time, describing the action as retaliation for an earlier American strike near Bandar Abbas airport, according to the Tasnim news agency.

The statement did not specify the location of the US base that was reportedly hit.

At the same time, the IRGC warned that any repetition of “aggressive actions” would provoke a “more decisive” response, placing responsibility for any consequences on the “aggressor.”
