Police arrested three individuals overnight for offences including theft, conspiracy to commit a misdemeanour and interference with judicial proceedings, during organised patrols carried out at key urban locations.
According to the Police Communication Branch, the operations aimed at preventing serious criminal activity, safeguarding public order and strengthening the public’s sense of security.
During the night, police stopped and checked 201 drivers and 96 passengers, while 47 premises were inspected nationwide. Eight reports were filed during the inspections.
Traffic checks resulted in 90 traffic violation reports, while seven additional cases remain under investigation. Nineteen drivers were reported for speeding, and three vehicles were immobilised following police examinations.
Police also carried out 51 alcohol tests, leading to one report, while three drivers tested positive during drug screening.
Police said the coordinated operations will continue on a daily basis with increased presence, targeted checks and immediate operational actions, with the aim of protecting citizens and maintaining public order.
