Cyprus Opens Voluntary National Guard Enlistment to Women

Applications open through October 24; Enlistment set for 30-31 of October at KEN Limassol following Minister’s decision.

Women citizens of the Republic of Cyprus may submit a Statement of Intent for Enlistment until Friday, October 24 2025, to join the National Guard on a voluntary basis. Eligibility covers the 2017-2025 classes that is, those born between January 1 1999 and December 31 2007, following a decision by the Minister of Defence.

How to apply

The Statement must be completed, signed, and submitted with a copy of both sides of the ID card by email to eth.str.ginekon@army.mil.cy. Applications can also be filed in person at local National Guard Recruitment Offices.

Reporting and documentation

Successful applicants will receive a Call-Up Notice by email for voluntary enlistment on October 30-31 2025 at the Limassol Recruit Training Centre (KEN Limassol). The notice, printed or on a mobile device, must be presented together with the ID card on arrival.

The Ministry of Defence confirmed the timeline in a post on X on September 29, noting that, by decision of Minister Vasilis Palmas, women from the 2017-2025 classes are invited to enlist at KEN Limassol on October 30-31.
