Initial information indicates that shots were fired at a luxury hotel in the Pyrgos area of Limassol, with the victim suffering an abdominal gunshot wound and being transported to hospital for treatment.
According to witness testimony, a single perpetrator used a handgun and left the scene on foot. Reports suggest the suspect’s vehicle is still at the hotel.
A row is believed to have preceded the incident between the perpetrator and the 37-year-old Ukrainian man who was shot.
The scene has been sealed off and a strong police presence remains in place, with investigations under way to locate the suspect.
