For several hours, citizens have reported difficulty reaching government departments by phone. The disruption affects calls from both landlines and mobile phones, impacting communication with multiple state services.

Lefteris Christou, CYTA spokesperson, told Politis that all necessary actions are being taken to restore service as soon as possible.

Not a cybersecurity incident

Christou clarified the outage is not linked to the recent cyberattack on state IT systems. He described it as a limited-scope technical problem.
