Police investigate attempted damage to property using explosive materials

Police are investigating an explosion that targeted the offices of a financial services company in Limassol during the early hours of Tuesday.

According to police, the blast occurred shortly after 3am. Closed-circuit television footage shows a suspect placing a factory-made firecracker enhanced with petrol at the entrance of the company’s offices before igniting it.

The explosion caused damage to the glass façade of the premises, which are located in the Mesa Geitonia area. No injuries were reported.

The case is being investigated as attempted damage to property using explosive materials.
