A gentle but changeable pattern sets the tone this week, offering a blend of calm skies and brief interruptions before conditions shift more noticeably at the weekend. While today begins quietly, the atmosphere grows gradually more unsettled, leading to the first influence of ADEL from Saturday afternoon onwards.
Today, Wednesday 26 November
Once the morning fog disperses, the sun makes a steady appearance. By midday and into the afternoon, cloud cover will build, bringing isolated showers over the mountains, inland and parts of the southeast. Winds begin from the southwest to northwest at 3 Beaufort, later rising to 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will stay mostly calm. Temperatures will reach around 23°C inland and along the western and northern coasts, rise to 24°C in the south and east and fall to 11°C in the mountains.
Tonight, Wednesday 26 November
Clouds thicken once more, with isolated showers and a brief rumble of thunder possible along the eastern and northern coasts. Winds remain light, mainly northwesterly to northeasterly at up to 3 Beaufort. The sea stays calm to slightly rough. Temperatures drop to 11°C inland, 13°C on the coasts and 5°C in the higher mountains.
Thursday 27 November
Periods of increased cloud are expected, with isolated showers and a small chance of an isolated thunderstorm, especially over the mountains, the east and the northwest.
Friday 28 November
Medium and high cloud will drift across the island at intervals. Light dust may be present in the atmosphere, though not in significant concentration.
Saturday 29 November
The weather turns more active as ADEL, now moving from the Tyrrhenian Sea towards the northern Aegean, extends its influence over Cyprus from the afternoon onwards. Local showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely, marking the most unsettled conditions of the week. Temperatures will continue a modest rise through Saturday, remaining above seasonal averages despite the approaching instability.
