Health & Safety at Work: New Series of Lectures by ERB ASFALISTIKI

ERB ASFALISTIKI, the largest General Insurance Company in Cyprus and a member of EUROBANK, the leading banking and insurance Group in the island, within the context of its long-standing social contribution, is undertaking -once again- a series of initiatives for the promotion of of health and safety in the workplace.

For 5th consecutive year, ERB ASFALISTIKI, the Department of Labor Inspection of the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance, and the Cyprus Health and Safety Association are continuing their strategic collaboration, with the shared aim of informing and raising public awareness on issues of Health and Safety at workplaces.

The new lecture series for 2026, was officially launched on 11 February 2026 at the ERB CYPRUS INSURANCE HOLDINGS Headquarters in Nicosia. The topic of the lecture was “Safe Use of Electricity in the Workplace”, and speakers were Ms. Eleftheria Sofroniou, Electrical Engineer, Legislation Sector, Department of Electromechanical Services, and Mr. Thomas Mitas, Electrical Engineer, Adult Trainer, and member of the Cyprus Association of Electrical Engineers.

The lecture provided a significant opportunity for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and views on cultivating a culture of accident prevention in the workplace and improving the working environment. It was attended by Health and Safety professionals who, through their participation, contributed to the success of the event.
