The 25-member women's a cappella choir Amalgamation will present Εις τον Αέραν ~ Breathborn, a live polyphonic musical performance, at PSI Foundation in Limassol on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, at 20:00.

The performance, conducted by Artistic Director Vasiliki Anastasiou, forms part of the parallel public programme accompanying the exhibition Bill Viola. Unspoken, which runs at the Foundation until 1 August 2026.
Part of the Bill Viola public programme
Throughout the duration of the exhibition, which opened on 24 April, PSI Foundation has developed a series of public events inviting audiences to engage with the show through diverse artistic practices. Rather than interpreting Bill Viola's work directly, these parallel events create new spaces for contemplation, embodied experience, attentive listening and dialogue, extending the exhibition beyond the visual encounter.
Words left hanging, made real
In Cypriot-Greek, eis ton aeran, rendered as breathborn, evokes words that seem fleeting, uncertain or left hanging. Through the shared act of listening, these ephemeral utterances can become profoundly real, shaping an experience that is immediate, sensory and deeply present.

Composed of a curated selection of traditional and tradition-inspired Cypriot songs, the performance unfolds as an act of collective uplift: a whisper, a universal prayer, a shared resonance and, above all, a shared breath.
Event details
The performance takes place at PSI Foundation, Synergatismou 27, Limassol, and lasts approximately 45 minutes. Participation is free and requires advance registration by Saturday 18 July 2026, via info@psi.art or www.psi.art.

Seating is not assigned and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to venue capacity, and participants are encouraged to arrive early. Doors will close at the start of the performance to ensure an uninterrupted listening experience, and late entry will not be possible.
