Cyprus Launches Kypria 2026 Arts Festival Grant Scheme

The Deputy Ministry of Culture has announced the launch of the Kypria 2026 grant programme, supporting the organisation of arts festivals across Cyprus, with applications opening later this week.

The initiative, administered by the Department of Contemporary Culture, forms part of ongoing efforts to modernise the country’s festival landscape and strengthen support for cultural organisations.

Fourth year of the festival funding scheme

According to the Deputy Ministry, this is the fourth consecutive year the programme has been announced, reflecting the state’s intention to update and reinforce cultural policy in relation to festivals.

The scheme aims to support organisations and cultural bodies that organise arts festivals throughout Cyprus, helping strengthen the country’s contemporary cultural scene.

Consultations planned for future programme

In the coming weeks, the Deputy Minister of Culture is expected to hold meetings and consultations with stakeholders involved in the festival sector. These discussions will contribute to shaping a revised and fully updated programme for the Kypria 2027 edition.

Applications open on 13 March

The document outlining the programme’s terms, criteria and general information is available on the website of the Deputy Ministry of Culture.

Applications must be submitted exclusively through the Department of Contemporary Culture’s digital platform at grants4arts.cy, which will open on Friday, 13 March 2026.

The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, 6 April 2026 at 14:00.
