Oscars 2026: ‘One Battle After Another’ Dominates With Six Wins

Paul Thomas Anderson’s film leads the night, while Jessie Buckley and Michael B. Jordan take home the top acting awards.

The 2026 Academy Awards took place on Sunday, 15 March (early Monday morning, 16 March, Greek time), with “One Battle After Another” emerging as the biggest winner of the evening, securing six awards and establishing itself as the dominant film of the ceremony.

The film, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, won the coveted Best Picture award and several additional categories, including Best Director, confirming its status as the standout production of the year.

In the acting categories, Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for her performance in Hamnet, while Michael B. Jordan received the Best Actor award for his role in Sinners. Both performances were widely praised during the awards season.

The ceremony also highlighted the strong presence of films such as Sinners and Sentimental Value, which collected multiple nominations and awards across key categories.
