King Charles III will pay an official visit to the Vatican in late October, Buckingham Palace announced today. The British monarch will be accompanied by his wife, Queen Camilla.
The British royal couple will meet with Pope Leo XIV and participate in a number of events marking the Roman Catholic Church Jubilee, celebrated every 25 years and attracting millions of pilgrims to the Vatican.
Charles and Camilla were some of the last official dignitaries to visit the late Pope Francis, just weeks before his death on Easter Day this year, after a long illness.
