Cyprus Issues Travel Warning for Iran, Urges Immediate Departure

The Foreign Ministry cites security concerns and the risk of regional escalation, issuing updated travel advice effective January 13.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised Cypriot citizens to avoid all travel to Iran due to the current internal security situation and an increased risk of wider regional escalation.

In a travel advisory issued on January 13, 2026, the ministry also urged Cypriot nationals currently in Iran to leave the country immediately, while commercial flights remain available.

Citizens who remain in the country are advised to avoid gatherings and demonstrations, remain vigilant, closely monitor developments through international and local media, and apply maximum personal security measures.
