The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, through the Cyprus Trade Centre in London, took part in The London Food & Drink Festival 2026 as part of efforts to promote Cypriot food and beverages in the UK market.
The ministry operated an information stand at the festival, which was held at ExCeL London on 16 and 17 September 2026.
According to an announcement, a wide range of traditional and contemporary Cypriot products was showcased, including halloumi and other dairy products, cured meats, baked goods, loukoumi, honey, wines, zivania and other alcoholic drinks, juices, trahanas, nuts, spoon sweets, carob syrup and rose products.
Visitors to the Cyprus stand had the opportunity to discover and sample food and drinks from the island.
Special dishes and creations prepared by the stand’s chef also offered visitors a taste of the richness and diversity of Cypriot cuisine.
Information material was distributed throughout the exhibition, including details about the products, recipes and the Gastronomic Map of Cyprus.
More than 15,000 industry professionals
The London Food & Drink Festival was held for the first time this year, bringing together five separate exhibitions to create one of the UK’s largest events for the food and beverage industry.
The event hosted around 600 exhibitors and attracted more than 15,000 industry professionals from the UK and abroad.
Cyprus’ participation provided an opportunity to promote the island’s culinary heritage and high-quality products, while strengthening their recognition and presence in the British market.
