The Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran announced that the United States attacked on Sunday a nuclear power plant under construction in the southwestern part of the country.
US forces, "in an aggressive and brutal act contrary to international law, attacked the Darkhovin nuclear plant, which is under construction (...) with a certain number of projectiles today", the organisation said in a statement broadcast by state television.
According to Reuters, construction of the plant in Iran's southwestern Khuzestan province began in 2022.
