The Cyprus–Greece Business Forum concluded with the participation of 17 Cypriot and 40 Greek businesses. It was held on 8 October 2026 at the offices of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) in Athens.
The event was organised by the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), in cooperation with SEV, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), the Exporters’ Association (SEVE) and Enterprise Greece. Its aim was to further strengthen trade and business relations between Cyprus and Greece.
Targeted business-to-business (B2B) meetings were held as part of the forum. Participating businesses presented their activities, exchanged information and expertise, and explored opportunities for new partnerships. The companies represented six sectors:
- Digital and security
- Water and heating
- Food and HoReCa
- Sustainability
- Construction
- Software and marketing
The positive response from businesses and the interest shown during the meetings, according to the announcement, highlighted the importance of such initiatives for business networking and creating new prospects for cooperation. The forum also contributed to closer economic and business ties between the two countries, drawing on their longstanding links and the potential for greater cooperation between their business communities.
Before the business meetings, remarks were delivered by Rania Aikaterinari, chair of SEV’s Executive Committee; Haris Theoharis, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic; Kyriakos Iordanou, director general of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Cyprus; and Stavros Avgoustidis, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Greece.
Remarks were also delivered by Panagiotis Chasapis, executive vice-president of SEVE; Evangelos Charalambous, a member of the ACCI Board of Directors; and Michalis Antoniou, director general of OEB.
This was followed by a presentation by Giannis Retsas, general director for Strategic Development of Foreign Trade at Enterprise Greece.
OEB said it continues to promote the international outreach of Cypriot businesses by undertaking and carrying out initiatives and activities to develop trade and business relations with other countries.
