Fuel sales in Cyprus declined in June 2026, according to figures published on Monday by the Statistical Service.
Sales through petroleum service stations fell by 1.4% to 59,271 tonnes.
Declines were recorded in:
- Fuel supplies to ships (-14.1%)
- Fuel supplies to aircraft (-13.7%)
- Kerosene sales (-51.0%)
- Light fuel oil (-44.2%)
- Heating oil (-16.8%)
- Asphalt (-12.2%)
- Diesel sales (-2.4%)
By contrast, sales of heavy fuel oil rose by 74.8%, while petrol sales increased by 1.8%.
Total petroleum product sales reached 129,479 tonnes, representing an 8.0% decrease compared with June 2025.
On a monthly basis, however, total petroleum sales increased by 1.5% compared with May 2026.
The increase was driven by:
- Fuel supplies to aircraft (+6.1%)
- Fuel supplies to ships (+5.9%)
- Diesel sales (+5.6%)
- Petrol sales (+4.5%)
Total petroleum stocks at the end of June 2026 were 19.6% lower than at the end of the previous month.
For the period January to June 2026, total petroleum sales recorded a 1.2% increase compared with the corresponding period of 2025.
