The government's proposal for a 12% actuarial adjustment to pensions will be tabled for discussion at today's meeting of the Labour Advisory Body, as consultations on Cyprus's pension reform enter a critical phase.
The meeting, scheduled to begin at 9.30am, will take place at the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance under the chairmanship of Labour Minister Marinos Mousiouttas.
The proposal forms part of the broader dialogue on pension reform, which the government has identified as one of its key policy priorities for 2026.
Focus on Pillar Zero
Discussions within the Labour Advisory Body continued on Monday with a review of issues relating to Pillar Zero, which concerns the low-pensioner benefit.
