Three beaches in the Municipality of Ierokipias in Geroskipou have been awarded Blue Flag status for 2026, in recognition of the standards offered to bathers and visitors.
The distinction was granted to Geroskipou Municipal Beach, the Geroskipou CTO Municipal Beach and Pachyammos 2, located in front of the Ledra hotel.
According to the municipality, the Blue Flag is an internationally recognised symbol of quality for organised beaches and coastal areas. It is awarded annually to beaches that meet strict criteria covering bathing water quality, environmental information and education, safety, services and the proper management of coastal spaces.
The municipality said the recognition reflects its continued effort to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and environmental protection along the area’s coastline.
