Cyprus is set for a particularly warm night, with the Department of Meteorology issuing two yellow warnings covering the period from Wednesday evening until Thursday afternoon.
The minimum temperature inland is forecast to remain at 26C overnight, while daytime temperatures are expected to rise to 40C on Thursday.
Overnight warning
The first warning will come into force at 9pm on Wednesday, 29 July, and remain valid until 6am on Thursday, 30 July.
According to the Department of Meteorology, temperatures inland are not expected to fall below 26C during this period.
Temperatures to reach 40C
The second yellow warning will be in effect from 2pm until 5pm on Thursday.
During those hours, the maximum temperature inland is forecast to reach 40C.
