The Board of Peace, established by US President Donald Trump, said on Monday evening that Israeli forces will not withdraw from the Gaza Strip until the "full" disarmament of the Palestinian organisation Hamas has been completed.
The announcement was made following a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a statement posted on X, the Board of Peace said that Israeli forces would remain in the territory until the agreed disarmament process had been completed.
"We note that the withdrawal of the IDF beyond the Yellow Line will take place only once decommissioning is complete, as Hamas committed to the mediators. This applies to light weapons, heavy weapons, and the tunnels alike," the statement said.

According to the Board of Peace, the arrangement reflects commitments that Hamas made to mediators during negotiations.
The Yellow Line separates the area of the enclave controlled by Hamas from territories controlled by the Israeli military.
