Gay People are to Blame for Everything, Right?

We are already tired of hearing unfounded accusations against us for alleged destruction, distortion, and insults against everyone. Extreme racism now hides behind the mask of the "woke agenda" and provides an alibi for every racist thought, act, populism, and abusive speech.

It is now easy for someone to justify their homophobia by talking about all forms of alteration, throwing out the excuse of woke.

  • There is no homophobia, it's all woke.
  • There is no transphobia, it's all woke.
  • There is no racism, it's all woke.
  • There is no violence against women, it's all woke.
  • There is no opposing opinion, it's all woke.
  • There is no right to freedom of expression, it's all woke.
  • There is no violation of human rights, it's all woke.

A very nice way to wash away any thought or action against minorities or socially vulnerable groups: they (LGBTQI people) are all fine, none of their rights are being violated (!), the problem is not so big as to justify any reaction (!!), they are just doing it to provoke (!!!), it's all woke.

And let's take it a step further. Gay people are to blame for everything. Right?

"They are to blame for coming out and saying they are gay because they do it to provoke, for self-promotion and publicity." Not for visibility. Not out of necessity. Not to empower every gay person who is struggling. Not to lift a weight off our shoulders. To provoke. And to advertise... what exactly?

"Gay people are to blame for the family being attacked. We know differently, we grew up differently, and they come along and impose something different on us." Yes, we impose. For a person to want to start a family is an imposition, not a right. And the family will be altered... In what way exactly?

"It's the fault of gay people that they come out and upset us with their extreme demands, that we accept everything as normal, that they brainwash us into accepting every abnormality." Yes, all these things were not always part of life, and now you see them before you. As if we need anyone to accept us. We want our lives, nothing else. To be ourselves without being attacked and abused.

"Gay people are to blame for the world changing." In what way, we don't know. Only fears, concerns, unfounded accusations about something that doesn't affect them anywhere. Nowhere.

However, I will be frank, and honest - I don't see any of the things they accuse us of happening in any way.

  • I don't see any LGBTQI people threatening or undermining the church; I see clergy doing that.
  • I don't see any foreigners participating in pogroms; I see Cypriot thugs doing that.
  • I don't see any illegal immigrants spoiling the Limassol coastline, I see foreign businessmen doing it.
  • I don't see any straight men filing police reports for attacks based on sexuality; I only see gay men doing it.
  • I don't see any Multicolored Families altering the term "family"; I see normal families leaving their children to fend for themselves.
  • I don't see any LGBTQI people going unpunished for hate speech and attacks; I only see lawbreakers enjoying impunity.
  • I don't see any LGBTQI-affiliated organizations brainwashing people; I see journalists, politicians, and parties engaging in politics based on unfounded fears and concerns, reproducing and amplifying every piece of fake news, every piece of propaganda, every controversial incident.
  • I don't see any queer people threatening, accusing, attacking, or being capable of or able to distort what they are accused of: corrupting their homeland, religion, or family. Those who actually do so are the ones who accuse others of doing so.

What have we really done of what we are accused of? Nothing.

What does history show that has changed because of LGBTQI people? Nothing.

What has really changed because of us, all these years? Nothing.

So why are we treated with fear and concern? Why are we treated as those who provoke in order to impose a new order, to change the world around us, to destroy the church, the family, biological genders, and everything else?

The answer: So that politicians who present themselves as saviors, luminaries, the only ones capable of preserving the world as we knew it, can get votes. As if a person living their life differently puts the world as we knew it at risk. But it's easy to spread fear and anxiety and then come out and say that you can prevent all fear and anxiety. That's exactly what's happening. With the rise of the far right, attacks against us have skyrocketed. Physical and verbal. This is no coincidence.

Let no one ever fall into such a trap again, least of all our fellow LGBTQI people. Enough with the witch hunts. It is now dangerous, not only to our physical integrity but to our very lives. Those who break the law must be punished. What is so unreasonable about that, and why does everyone else have immunity?
