Starting on 2 January 2026, Turkey will scrap the issuance of sticker visas at points of entry for holders of Republic of Cyprus passports, Turkish Cypriot news outlet Kıbrıs Postası reported on Saturday.

Travellers will instead be required to secure a visa in advance, either electronically or through Turkish diplomatic missions abroad.

According to Kıbrıs Postası, the change will not apply to 'citizens' of the 'TRNC', who will continue to enter Turkey visa-free under the current system.
