Resignation is Loss of Valuable Associate

President confirms acceptance of Charalambous resignation, referring to the former head of his office as a hard working man of integrity.

The President describes Charalambous as an honourable man of integrity.

 

President Christodoulides officially confirmed he has accepted the resignation of the now former Director of his Office Charalambos Charalambous, who appears in a video alluding to illegal funding of the President's election campaign.

In a brief written statement, he reiterates that this was an act of confidence and trust and goes on to praise Charalambous as a 'hard working honourable man of integrity'.

Nicos Christodoulides refers to this development as a 'loss of a valuable associate' in the midst of a major effort that the government is undertaking to upgrade the country, based on his administration programme, 'our contract with the people of Cyprus'.

He concludes by offering Charalambous warmest thanks for their ooperation and wishes him all the best on his next endeavours.
