1363 – Meeting of the Five Kings in London: Commandaria wine was served during a banquet known as the “Feast of the Five Kings,” organised by the Lord Mayor of London Sir Henry Picard in honour of King Peter I of Cyprus and four other European monarchs.
1924 – “Pancypria” Gymnastic Club of Nicosia: The club emerged as the most successful team at the 16th Panhellenic Men’s Athletics Games at the Panathenaic Stadium, winning five gold and three silver medals.
1945 – Dionysios Charalambous: The Metropolitan of Lemnos was released from a concentration camp and later went on to lead the newly founded Theological School “Apostle Barnabas” in Cyprus.

2020 – Coronavirus: Cyprus entered the first phase of easing restrictive measures after more than a month of a general lockdown.
2021 – Digitisation of Antiquities: The Department of Antiquities launched the programme “Digitising the Museums of Cyprus” to digitise artefacts displayed in state museums and stored at the Cyprus Museum.
