Families are invited to discover the Franco-Cypriot School during its Open Days in Limassol and Nicosia this January. Parents and children will have the opportunity to tour the school campuses, meet the educational teams and experience first-hand the school’s pedagogical philosophy through a friendly morning programme.
The Franco-Cypriot School is hosting Open Days on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at its Limassol campus and on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Nicosia, from 10:00 to 13:00.
The programme includes guided tours of the school facilities, information sessions with teaching staff and age-appropriate educational activities for children. The event is addressed to both parents and children and offers visitors the opportunity to explore, among other things:
A dynamic trilingual kindergarten
Welcoming children from the age of two, the kindergarten places strong emphasis on trilingualism and supports children’s first learning steps through an active, experiential pedagogical approach. Learning is centred on play, language expression, creativity and discovery, while also strengthening socio-emotional development and motor skills within a safe and supportive environment where each child progresses at their own pace.
A high-quality, multilingual academic curriculum
The school’s educational programmes follow the French national curriculum while incorporating the strengths of the Cypriot education system. From kindergarten, students develop skills in French, Greek and English, with a fourth foreign language introduced at secondary level. Teaching is adapted to the needs and learning rhythm of each student, ensuring an inclusive and high-standard educational experience.
A rich extracurricular and sports programme
Through its Sports Club, the school encourages student participation in team sports and promotes the development of cooperation, creativity and team spirit, complementing academic learning with physical and social growth.
A global educational network
Students benefit from access to a unique international education network, ensuring continuity of studies across more than 600 schools in 138 countries and offering opportunities for international educational experiences.
An experienced and dedicated teaching team
The school’s educators are committed to understanding each child’s needs and applying modern, effective teaching practices that support holistic development.
A growing school with an international outlook
This year, the Franco-Cypriot School counts 465 students, with enrolment increasing steadily year after year, reflecting the trust shown by both Cypriot and international families. The recent addition of a European English section further strengthens the school’s modern and international character, offering students multiple educational pathways while remaining true to its guiding philosophy: Think Global, Grow Trilingual.
Founded in 2012 under a bilateral agreement between France and Cyprus, the Franco-Cypriot School is a private, non-profit educational institution supported by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the French Embassy in Cyprus. It welcomes students aged 2 to 18, from kindergarten through to upper secondary education, providing a complete academic pathway that opens the door to studies in France, including free tuition at public universities, as well as to leading universities worldwide.
The school’s educational mission is grounded in the principles of equality, humanism and respect for diversity, shaping students with critical thinking skills, open minds and the ability to thrive in a multicultural world.
The school is a member of the AEFE network and operates under the auspices of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. AEFE is the largest international network of French schools abroad, comprising 612 schools in 138 countries and serving more than 400,000 students worldwide. The network ensures continuity of education during international mobility and integrates graduates into a strong global alumni network that includes distinguished figures across many fields.
