Strict footwear regulations
All running shoes must comply with World Athletics technical regulations, including sole specifications, with a maximum thickness of 40mm.
Athletes are responsible for ensuring their footwear is included in the official list of approved models. Failure to comply will result in disqualification from the race.
Race details and facilities
The marathon is scheduled to begin at 07:15 from the western end of Limassol Molos.
Along the 42.195km route, refreshment stations will be available every 2.5 kilometres, offering water, electrolytes, soft drinks and fruit. Toilets will also be available at regular intervals, starting after the first 5 kilometres.
Route overview
Organisers describe the course as flat and fast, offering ideal conditions for runners aiming to achieve personal bests.
The race begins at the Molos, with runners heading east before looping west towards the city’s old town and port area. The route then passes through a mix of urban and natural landscapes, including the well-known “forest tunnel”.
