A 52-year-old man lost his life in a fatal road collision that occurred on Monday evening in the Aradippou area of Larnaca district. The victim was identified as Nikos Nikolaou, a resident of Dromolaxia.
Collision on Ellados Avenue
According to police, the incident occurred at around 19:30 while the 52-year-old was driving along Ellados Avenue in Aradippou. Under circumstances that remain under investigation, his vehicle collided with a car driven by a 68-year-old man, who had a 34-year-old passenger.
Emergency response and hospitalisation
Police officers and members of the Fire Service attended the scene to extricate the 52-year-old driver from his vehicle. He was transported by ambulance to Larnaca General Hospital, where the doctor on duty confirmed his death.
The 68-year-old driver and the 34-year-old passenger were also taken by ambulance to Larnaca General Hospital. The driver was kept under observation as a precaution, while the passenger was discharged after receiving medical care.

The Larnaca Traffic Department continues its investigation into the circumstances of the fatal collision.
