Gradual Temperature Rise Expected

Weak high pressure is affecting the area, bringing mostly clear conditions and a gradual rise in temperatures over the coming days.

Today

Today’s weather will be mostly clear, although at times there will be locally increased cloud cover, which in the early afternoon may give rise to isolated showers, mainly over the mountains and inland areas.

Winds will initially be mainly southeasterly to southwesterly, light at 3 Beaufort, later becoming mainly southwesterly to westerly, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough.

Temperatures will rise to 23°C inland, around 22°C along the coast, and 12°C in the higher mountain areas.

Tonight

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear, although locally increased low cloud may be observed at times.

Winds will be mainly northwesterly to northeasterly, light at 3 Beaufort, with the sea calm to slightly rough.

Temperatures will drop to 11°C inland, around 13°C on the coast, and 5°C in the higher mountains.

Outlook

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the weather will continue to be mostly clear. Temperatures are expected to rise gradually through Saturday, reaching levels slightly above seasonal averages.

At the time of issue of the bulletin, snow depth at Chionistra was 10 centimetres.
