Continuing snowfalls and thick fog on the highest reaches of the Troodos mountains, have made all access roads slippery and hazardous, with frost forming in many areas.
According to a police statement, the road from Troodos square to Mount Olympus is only open for vehicles with snow chains or 4x4s.
Drivers are advised to exercise the utmost caution, maintain low speeds and secure distance from vehicles ahead as well as keep their hazard lights on at all times.
