Cyprus Takes Centre Stage in Austria With August Showcase of Artists

Cypriot musicians and performers will represent the island at a series of concerts, musical productions and cultural events across Vienna and Burgenland throughout August 2026.

The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Austria has highlighted a series of appearances by Cypriot artists taking place across Austria during August 2026.

In a post on X, the embassy promoted the participation of Cypriot performers in concerts, musical showcases and theatre productions, encouraging audiences to support the events.

Thalassinou to perform in Vienna

Clarinettist Christiana Thalassinou will appear on 2, 4, 11, 13 and 20 August in the Imperial Gala Concert at Vienna's Auersperg Palace.

She will also take part in the Strauss Dinner Show on 18 August.

In addition, Thalassinou is scheduled to perform as a soloist on 12 August at the historic Musikverein in Vienna, one of Europe's most renowned concert venues.

Agapiou to present Greek music evening

Singer Ioulia Agapiou, accompanied by Costas Diaskos on bouzouki, will present a Greek music evening on 8 August at the Misiyamasa Restaurant in Mödling, Lower Austria.

Pambori joins Mörbisch production

Dancer Maria Pambori is participating in La Cage aux Folles by Jerry Herman, which is being staged as part of the acclaimed Mörbisch Lake Festival in the Austrian state of Burgenland.

Performances will take place on 1, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22 August at the open-air theatre in Mörbisch am See.

Public invited to support events

The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Austria has encouraged the public to support the performances and has provided information on reservations and ticket bookings for the various events.
