Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will continue its military campaign against Iran with “full force”, outlining what he described as a methodical strategy aimed at dismantling the Iranian regime. In a televised address, he warned that those who refuse to surrender will “face consequences”, while claiming Israel and its allies have achieved near-total control of the airspace over Tehran.
Netanyahu outlines military strategy
Israel will continue to strike Iran with “all” its “power” in order to “eliminate the regime”, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a televised address. “We will continue with all our strength,” Netanyahu said in the brief speech, referring to the offensive launched on 28 February together with the United States against the Islamic Republic.
“As for the continuation of the operations, we have a methodical plan, with numerous surprises, to eliminate the regime and allow change. We have many other targets, the details of which I will not mention here,” he added.
Claims of control over Tehran airspace
Netanyahu also said Israeli and American forces have achieved almost complete control of the airspace above Tehran. “Thanks to our brave pilots and the American pilots, we have almost full control of the airspace over Tehran,” he said. He also praised the role of the United States and President Donald Trump in the operation.
“President Donald Trump understood the scale of the danger for the United States and the world. We acted to confront the threat and allow the Iranian people to take their destiny into their own hands,” Netanyahu said.
Reference to earlier strikes
The Israeli prime minister also referred to earlier military actions carried out since the start of the campaign. “From the first week, we eliminated the dictator Khamenei. We destroyed government facilities, weapons factories and hundreds of ballistic missile launchers thanks to our pilots and American pilots,” he said.
Message to the Iranian people
Addressing the Iranian population directly, Netanyahu said Israel’s objective was not to divide the country but to enable political change. “To the Iranian people: the moment of truth is approaching. We do not seek to divide Iran, but to free it from the yoke of tyranny and live peacefully with it,” he said. “That liberation depends on you, the brave Iranian people.” He also issued a warning regarding future developments.
“Anyone who lays down arms will not be harmed. Anyone who refuses will face the consequences,” Netanyahu said, adding that in the future “the peoples of Israel and Iran will become friends again”.
Regional impact
Netanyahu also claimed that Iran had attacked 12 neighbouring countries in recent days. “We support them. Many countries are now turning to us to cooperate,” he said. He concluded by saying Israel had altered the regional balance of power. “We transformed the Middle East and changed the balance of power. Israel is a regional power that deters our neighbours and our enemies. Those who dare will prevail,” he said.
