Police are taking security measures and making traffic arrangements ahead of a protest by a group of livestock farmers in Nicosia on Friday.
According to police, the protesters are expected to gather at around 10am in the area of GSP Stadium before marching towards the Presidential Palace. They are expected to arrive there at around 11am.
Police officers will be present throughout the protest to ensure the smooth conduct of the event, maintain public order and safety, and provide traffic assistance to the public.
Police called on both participants and the wider public to follow the instructions of officers on duty and to cooperate, so that the protest can take place peacefully and without disruption.
Participants were also reminded of the need to comply fully with the provisions of the relevant legislation and the decrees governing public gatherings and protest events.
