The Limassol Criminal Court on Wednesday sentenced two people, both aged 34, to five years in prison after finding them guilty of trafficking in persons for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
In the same case, two other defendants, aged 29 and 50, were sentenced to 18 months and nine months in prison respectively.
According to police, the offences were committed between August 2022 and May 2023.
The case began after information was received by the Office for Combating Trafficking in Persons. During the investigation, a 24-year-old was identified as a victim of sexual exploitation by the convicted individuals.
