Cyprus repatriated 119 third-country nationals who were staying in the country illegally on Friday as part of ongoing efforts by police and the Deputy Ministry of Migration to tackle irregular migration.
Police said a total of 5,288 people residing illegally in Cyprus had been returned to their countries of origin through voluntary and forced return procedures since Jan. 1.
The force also said 856 irregular migrants had arrived in Cyprus so far in 2026, compared with 1,299 during the same period last year.
Police said they would continue working with other competent authorities to maximise the number of returns of third-country nationals staying illegally in the Republic of Cyprus.
