A lorry and a saloon car overturned following a collision on the Nicosia-Larnaca motorway near Pera Chorio on Thursday afternoon.
Footage from the scene shows both vehicles lying on their sides, illustrating the force of the impact.
Minor injuries and traffic disruption
According to police, two people sustained minor injuries in the collision.
The right-hand lane remained closed in both directions following the crash, with Traffic Police officers at the scene to regulate and facilitate traffic.
Police urged drivers travelling through the area to exercise particular caution and follow officers’ instructions.
