Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos is travelling to Manila for an official visit. It is the first visit to the Philippines by a foreign minister of the Republic of Cyprus, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit aims to further strengthen bilateral relations between Cyprus and the Philippines and broaden cooperation between the two countries in areas of common interest.
During his stay in Manila, Kombos will meet with Philippine Foreign Secretary Teresa Lazaro. The talks will focus on bilateral relations and prospects for further deepening them, as well as regional and international issues of common interest, the announcement said.
The meeting follows contacts between the two ministers in New York, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2025 and the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2026, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
