At least four people, including a teenager, have been killed in a heavy Russian bombardment of the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk, near the frontline, according to the regional governor.
Donetsk regional Governor Vadym Filashkin said on Telegram that nine other people were injured in the attack, accusing Russia of deliberately targeting civilians.
Destruction
The strikes damaged an apartment building, a shop and several private homes, Filashkin said, sharing images showing burning flats and damaged residential areas.
Kramatorsk, located in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region, has remained a key target during Russia's invasion due to its proximity to the active front line and its strategic importance.
Meanwhile, Ukraine said it had struck 13 Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov, including 10 oil tankers, as part of Kyiv's campaign to disrupt fuel supplies supporting Russian military operations.
Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine's unmanned systems forces, said the strikes also targeted a dry cargo ship and a ferry.
Energy infrastructure
The Ukrainian military has increasingly focused on attacks against Russian energy infrastructure and logistics networks, aiming to restrict resources available to Moscow's armed forces.
Overnight, Ukrainian forces also struck five electricity substations in occupied Crimea, according to Ukrainian military officials.
Ukraine's General Staff said additional strikes were carried out against the Ilsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar region, the Ust-Luga refinery complex in the Leningrad region, an oil loading terminal and a fuel storage facility in Rostov.
A fire broke out at the Ilsky refinery, one of the largest oil processing facilities in southern Russia, according to Ukrainian reports.
Both the Ilsky and Ust-Luga facilities have previously been targeted in Ukrainian attacks as Kyiv continues efforts to hit Russia's energy infrastructure.
Moscow has not immediately commented on the reported Ukrainian strikes, while Russia has repeatedly denied deliberately targeting civilians in Ukraine.
