Turkey has requested red notices for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and another Israeli citizen as part of an investigation into the interception of a Gaza-bound flotilla and the detention of the activists on board.

Turkish Justice Minister Akın Gürlek announced the move on X, saying arrest warrants had previously been issued against the two men.

Warrants issued in July

“In the context of the judicial proceedings concerning the attack against the flotilla activists in international waters, and in accordance with arrest warrants issued on 14 July 2026 against Benjamin Netanyahu and Afek Moskovitz for ‘genocide’, the Ministry of Justice asked the Ministry of Interior to issue red notices with a view to their international arrest,” Gürlek said.
