April 2 is the deadline for submitting applications to register on the electoral roll ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for May 24, 2026.
All citizens of the Republic of Cyprus aged 18 and above who have had their usual residence in Cyprus for the past six months are eligible to vote.
In a statement, the Interior Ministry noted that after the deadline no new registrations or changes can be made to the electoral roll, urging new voters to submit their applications in time.
Eligibility for new voters
The ministry clarified that young people who turn 18 by the date of the elections are also eligible to register, provided that their application is submitted during the final quarterly revision of the electoral roll before the elections, which runs from January 3, 2026 to April 2, 2026.
In addition, Turkish Cypriots holding an identity card of the Republic of Cyprus and residing in the south are also eligible to register on the electoral roll.
Online and in-person applications
Applicants aged up to 25 may submit their applications online through the elections website at elections.gov.cy.
Printed applications can be submitted at district administration offices, citizen service centres (KEP) and citizen centres (KE.PO.) at Cyprus Post offices.
Application forms are available at these locations, from the Interior Ministry, and on the official elections website.
