The Interior Ministry has upgraded and activated a dedicated election website ahead of this May’s parliamentary elections, providing information on how to vote, where to vote and much more in three languages.

The site – www.elections.gov.cy – was upgraded in cooperation with the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy and the Department of Information Services.

The website provides useful information for citizens on the various electoral processes, including voter registration procedures, polling station locations, how to request a polling station abroad, the voting process itself, information for persons with mobility impairments and other relevant matters.

A quick perusal of the site provides the user with the current distribution of seats in the 56-member parliament: Nicosia 19, Limassol 12, Famagusta 11, Larnaca 6, Paphos 5, Kyrenia 3.

It informs potential voters that the last day of registration to get on the electoral roll ahead of the May 24, 2026 parliamentary elections is April 2, 2026.

The site also clarifies who is eligible to vote, and how potential voters abroad can submit declarations to request a polling station in the city or country they reside in – the last day for declarations incidentally is also April 2, 2026.

In accordance with the provisions of the electoral legislation, polling stations abroad may operate in countries where the Cyprus Republic maintains a diplomatic mission, and “only in those cities where the number of voters submitting such a declaration exceeds fifty (50) for the Presidential Elections and the Elections of Members of the European Parliament, or thirty (30) per Electoral District (Province) for the Parliamentary Elections”.

According to the Interior Ministry, the site – in Greek, English and Turkish – will be continuously updated with election‑related news and announcements.
