Christodoulides And Erhürman to Meet Again on May 8

The meeting aims to sustain open communication and help create conditions for a resumption of substantive talks.

The next meeting between President Nikos Christodoulides and Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman will take place on May 8 at 4.00 pm, at the residence of the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative in Cyprus, Hasim Ndie, government spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis announced on Thursday.

Speaking during a briefing at the Presidential Palace, Letymbiotis said the regular meetings between President Christodoulides and Erhürman reaffirm the government’s steady commitment to maintaining open and sincere channels of communication.

He said the aim of the meetings is to contribute, step by step, to the creation of conditions for the resumption of substantive negotiations.

According to Letymbiotis, the two leaders will continue their discussion from where they left off during their previous meeting.
