Turkey: Erdogan’s AKP Leads Polls With 34.1%

The ruling party remained ahead throughout the four-month period covered by Optimar’s latest survey.

 

Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) remains ahead in the latest poll by Optimar, maintaining first place throughout the four-month period.

According to the data, the AKP stood at 34.1% in March 2026, while the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) followed with 29.2%, leaving a gap of 4.9 percentage points.

After the redistribution of undecided voters, the results were as follows:

AKP: 34.1%

CHP: 29.2%

People’s Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party): 9.6%

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP): 8.5%

İYİ Party: 8.0%

Victory Party: 3.1%

New Welfare Party: 1.6%

Other parties: below 1.5%

Without redistribution, undecided voters stood at 9.7%, while 9.5% said they would not vote.

The four-month trend shows that the AKP remained stable between 33.6% and 35.2%, while the CHP fell to 27.3% in January before recovering to 29.2% in March.
