The UN Secretary General's Personal Envoy on Cyprus Maria Angela Holguin continued her sounding out mission in Nicosia this morning, holding talks with President Christodoulides for more than an hour, following yesterday's meeting with the Turkish-Cypriot leader Tufan Erhurman.
In his welcome address, the President said that Nicosia was ready to kickstart substantial work, based on both Holguin's as well as the UNSG's support, political will and commitment.
'I am ready to discuss next steps', he noted.
A trilateral between the two leaders and Holguin has been scheduled for Thursday December 11th, following a Christodoulides-Erhurman joint Committee of Missing Persons visit.
